*PSULE — "Six" C90**
Inside rested a booklet whose pages insisted the story should be read from the final chapter to the first, because "love walks backward until two people finally meet."
---
## Chapter 12 — The Beginning That Happens Last
When Lina and Oran finally admitted they loved each other, every conversation suddenly untangled itself.
Until that moment, however, they suffered from an ancient enchantment called **Tongue Twisting**.
Every sentence emerged backwards.
Every compliment sounded like an argument.
Every apology resembled a recipe.
---
### They Spoke in the Imaginary Language of **Veskoru**
> **"Nal vesh torumi sel akor."**
Which, read backward word by word, meant:
> "Your smile found my morning."
---
### Then Came **Brallik**
> **"Tesu marok il venu sa."**
Read in reverse:
> "I hoped you would laugh."
---
Neither of them knew the other was speaking backwards.
They simply assumed romance was extremely confusing.
---
## Chapter 11
Every misunderstanding attracted tiny magical insects known as **Word Bugs**.
The bugs did not bite.
Instead they collected mixed-up syllables and carried them away like pollen.
Soon the entire village spoke delightful nonsense.
The baker accidentally sold umbrellas instead of bread.
The librarian shelved thunderstorms between dictionaries.
The mayor congratulated everyone for successfully inventing Tuesday twice.

## Chapter 10
One afternoon the pair discovered an old gardening booklet tucked inside the **PSULE "Six" C90** cassette case.
Someone had written:
### *Box Tree Moth Notes*
The **box tree moth** lays pale yellow, disc-shaped eggs in overlapping groups of about **5–20**, resembling shingles.
Its caterpillars are green, yellow, black, and white with sparse hairs, yellow stripes, and a row of black spots running along their backs.
The larvae take roughly **14 days** to mature.
Pupae develop among webbing and damaged leaves. Young pupae are green with brown stripes, and as they mature the wing pattern of the future moth becomes visible through the pupal skin.
Most adult moths are white with a brown border and can live for approximately **one month**. They are strong fliers capable of dispersing **4–6 miles**.
Depending on climate and latitude, there may be **1–5 generations each year**. In Ontario, two generations have been recorded so far.
Overwintering caterpillars generally resume feeding in early to mid-spring, depending on local conditions.
Heavy infestations may completely defoliate boxwoods. Once leaves are depleted, larvae may feed on bark, girdling stems and potentially killing the plant.
---
Lina looked up.
"So even gardens have dramatic love stories."
Oran nodded.
"Mostly tragedies, unfortunately."
---
## Chapter 9
The magical bugs tried to translate gardening notes into poetry.
Instead they produced:
> **"Leaves remember tomorrow because caterpillars borrowed yesterday."**
Nobody knew what it meant.
Everyone applauded anyway.
---
## Chapter 8
Another backwards language appeared.
### **Kelomiri**
> **"Saro vek ilum nor ek tasi."**
Reverse translation:
> "Meet me before we first met."
---
Lina laughed.
Oran laughed.
The bugs applauded by flapping tiny transparent wings.
---
## Chapter 7
The cassette reached Side B.
Instead of music it contained people attempting tongue twisters.
Every failed attempt released another cheerful Word Bug.
Soon hundreds fluttered through the air.

One particularly troublesome sentence read:
> "Six slippery silver spoons softly spun."
Nobody completed it successfully.
The bugs declared themselves winners.
---
## Chapter 6
The village oracle explained:
"Love cannot move forward while language walks backward."
No one understood.
Mostly because he accidentally spoke upside down.
---
## Chapter 5
In **Rulaven**, another imaginary language:
> **"Meka solun vera tik osh."**
Backward meaning:
> "Dance before asking."
---
Lina obeyed.
Oran accidentally joined halfway through.
Everyone assumed it had been rehearsed.
---
## Chapter 4
The bugs arranged themselves into enormous living letters across the evening sky.
The message looked important.
Unfortunately it was backwards.
After several hours someone held up a mirror.
It simply read:
> **HELLO.**
---
## Chapter 3
The cassette booklet instructed:
> "If conversation becomes impossible,
>
> laugh first,
>
> translate later."
It proved to be surprisingly effective advice.
---
## Chapter 2
Every backwards language suddenly became ordinary.
Every twisted tongue straightened.
Every magical bug quietly returned misplaced syllables to their rightful owners.
---
## Chapter 1 — The Ending That Happens First
Before they had ever met...
...before the cassette had been recorded...
...before the bugs had learned to collect tangled words...
...before anyone invented the imaginary languages...
...the final page already existed.
It contained only one sentence.
Written backwards.
