# The Backward Tale of NIE SAND, "TO STOP," C60, and the Crawling Swarm

Long before tomorrow—but after yesterday had already happened—the traveler **NIE SAND** walked backward through a forest where words grew upside down on trees. Every sentence spoken there echoed in reverse.

> **"TO STOP"** became **"POTS OT."**
> **"A bug infestation happens"** became **"sneppah noitatsefni gub A."**

No one knew whether the backward language was a warning or a puzzle.

Deep beneath the roots rested a mysterious glowing sphere called **C60**, shaped like a tiny soccer ball. Whenever it spun, time folded into strange loops, causing effects to appear before their causes. One morning, everyone discovered clean houses before anyone had cleaned them. The next day, insects appeared after they had supposedly disappeared.

Then the swarm arrived.

Ants marched in square spirals. Roaches ran in perfect circles. Bed bugs hid inside dreams instead of beds. The villagers noticed clues scattered across the land:

* Live insects crawling in unexpected places.
* Tiny droppings forming mysterious symbols.
* Strange bites appearing before people slept.
* Fine wood dust drifting from silent walls.

The ancient scroll, written in both forward and backward speech, declared:

> ".retaw toh ni gniddeb hsaw dna ,skcarc laes ,skael xif ,doof naelc yb meht potS"

When read normally, it revealed:

> "Stop them by cleaning food, fixing leaks, sealing cracks, and washing bedding in hot water."

NIE SAND realized that both directions told the same truth—only time itself had been flipped.

As C60 slowed, the world settled into normal order.

### Swarm Severity (Story Data)

At the end of the journey, the backward forest spoke one final sentence:

> **".drawrof gnipeek yb semitemos si drawkcab gniwollof fo yaw tseb ehT"**

Which, read forward, means:

> **"The best way of following backward is sometimes by keeping forward."**

And so the insects faded, the strange language became only a curiosity, and the legend of **NIE SAND**, **"TO STOP,"** and **C60** lived on as a wonderfully mixed-up story where beginnings came last and endings came first.
