" Expired Version of Water World Script: "Wasteland Canoe"
**INT. WATER WORLD - DAY**
The vast horizon of roiling sea stretches endlessly, dotted with floating refuse and decrepit structures. Under a sky choked with the oily hue of pollution, DRIFTING SCRAPPERS—survivors of a drowned civilization—navigate their makeshift vessels. Among them is MARLON, a scrappy, resourceful survivor.
**MARLON**
*(yelling over the roar of wind and waves)*
We need to find something better than this expired dog food! I ain't eatin' it again!
**EXT. DRIFTING SHANTY - DAY**
Marlon rummages through a pile of scrap—rusted cans, plastic debris, and boxes of long-past salad and packages of dog food. He pulls out a crushed can and examines it, turning it over in his hands. Suddenly, his eyes light up with inspiration.
**MARLON**
*(to himself)*
No more waterlogged kibble! If I had a record player, I could create an enchanted elixir...
From the corner, a large piece of driftwood catches his eye. Marlon uses the wood to balance precariously on his canoe, beginning an unhinged mission to gather up lost relics of civilization.
**MARLON**
(to himself, as he slides it across the deck)
Every treasure has a story… or a tune! Let’s see what is hiding in this soundscape!
Suddenly, a FIGURE emerges from the water—a glimmering mermaid-like creature with matted hair and a treasure trove of junk jewelry hanging from her neck. This is a mythic siren, a hybrid of beauty and filth. She eyes Marlon curiously.
**SIREN**
*(singing softly with an alluring tone)*
You seek songs… in a sea of decay.
Marlon drops the dog food, uprooted with obsession, and steadies himself as she continues.
**SIREN**
*(gesturing to the remnants)*
Old music can be found in these ruins… and might revitalize your taste—beyond the expired meals that haunt your palate.
**MARLON**
*(eyes wide)*
What do you know about J.R. Spyke's "Untitled Acetate and Mix CD"?
**SIREN**
Ah, whispers from the past! The sounds that can be carved into the skin of a ghostly shell. A mix of hope and despair.
Marlon digs through more junk, discovering a warped record with the title etched in faded letters. He grins, imagining a feast of flavors resonating from the beats stored in the warped grooves.
**MARLON**
*(clutching the record, excited)*
Together, we can find a way to live off the music!
**EXT. SHALLOW DEPTHS - DAY**
The villagers gather as Marlon attempts to turn his canoe into a floating sound studio. They share leftover, rancid dog food, mixing it with the salty brine from their deceptions. A symphony of repurposed materials begins to emerge, blending with the crashed remains of speakers and amplifiers they salvage.
**MARLON**
*(strumming makeshift instruments)*
Let the echoes of J.R. Spyke guide our way! We’ll drown the flavors of yesterday with remixed dreams and salty beats!
As the makeshift sound system crackles to life, the villagers sway to the chilling, ethereal sounds reminiscent of the lost world. The siren dances around them, wrapping their spirits in melodies, staving off both hunger and despair.
**SIREN**
*(summoning a mirthful tune)*
This is not just food—it is an awakening! A meal to satisfy even the most expired of souls!
**EXT. WATER WORLD - SUNSET**
As the sun dips below the waves, casting orange and purple shades upon the waters, Marlon stands at the helm, serenaded by the joyful chaos of music and laughter. His craft transforms into a celebration of resilience—a waterlogged banquet of sound, filled with bizarre delights, shrouded in the mysteries of the vast sea.
**MARLON**
*(with a huge grin)*
We might be floating in a dystopia—but this water world will sing with every wave!
**FINAL SHOT:**
The camera pulls back to reveal a floating tavern of sound—laughter, music, and the echoes of a long-lost civilization thriving on the ocean, celebrating life as they sail through their surreal, buoyant world.
**FADE OUT.**
